The system has elliptical pedals with connecting rods of variable length, a power transmission support, and an auxiliary mechanism whose internal movement is performed using chains and dented pinions. Perpendicular rotation conversion components are arranged between power transmission support and auxiliary mechanism for converting power transmission using static gears and gearwheels, and for longitudinally moving connecting rods by means of a crank and a follower. The movement of the connecting rods varies the length of the connecting rods, moving the pedals in elliptical trajectory. The power transmission support and auxiliary mechanism are arranged to each side of the pedal axis, and fixed to one of the side of the dented plates of the bicycle.
