A method for texturing the surface (10) of a piece of jewelry (12), made of metal, to increase the reflectivity of light, the procedure comprises the steps of: forming a series of grooves (22) by a carving process in diamond of the surface of the piece of jewelry, to divide the surface of this piece into a plurality of contiguous regions of four sides, each of which is limited by four grooves carved in diamond (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d) and defines a plateau with at least four sides (21a, 21b) inclined reflectors of light, characterized by the additional subdivision of the four-sided plateaus by forming a pair of grooves (24a, 24b, 24c, 24d) carved in diamond, which intersect with each other, in order to divide the plateaus located in the four-sided regions into four their plateaus (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d), each of which has at least three descending sides light reflectors.
