Treatment process for the calibration of at least one pair of hydrophone/geophone sensors placed on the bottom of the water and used in a seismic exploration procedure in which an acoustic source emits a signal in the water and the sensors at the bottom of the water make hydrophone H and geophone G recordings characterised in that these recordings are calibrated to minimise the energy signal S that is determined in relation to the hydrophone and geophone recordings and that correspond to the signal source propagated through the water layer to the sensor in a time frame beyond that of the theoretical extinction time.
