METHOD FOR COMPENSATING A DEAD TIME IN A VOLTAGE-TYPE PWM INVERTER

A method for compensating dead time in a voltage-type PWM inverter is provided to maintain compensation voltage of plus code while an inclination of instruction voltage waveform is plus, convert the code of the compensation voltage at the time the inclination converts from plus to minus, and maintain the compensation voltage of minus code while the inclination is minus. A method for compensating dead time in a voltage-type PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) inverter includes the steps of: detecting a magnitude of inverter output current; detecting an inclination of an inverter instruction voltage waveform; and determining a code of compensation voltage according to the magnitude of the output current and the inclination of the instruction.
