POSITION TRACKING SYSTEM OF TDD USING RANGER AND THE METHOD THEREOF

A position tracking method in TDD(Time Division Duplex) communication and a system thereof are provided to make a repeater or a base station have a location tracking module in a mobile communication system, thereby tracking the location of a terminal and classifying signals which have passed through the base station and the repeater. A corresponding terminal gives a location tracking command to a base station with which the terminal communicates. The base station receiving the location tracking command gives the location tracking command to the terminal. The terminal reports stored ranging information, comprising ranging codes, slots, frame number, and time advances, to the base station. The base station transmits the reported ranging information to a location tracking server. The location tracking server transmits the received ranging codes, slots and frame numbers to a location tracking module. The location tracking module transmits a result of ranging signal analysis to the location tracking server.
