An automatic sewing thread winder is provided to automatically perform the transfer, exchange and cutting works of a bobbin from the supply of the bobbin within the shortest time. A spindle motor(20) is installed at the lower portion of a body and connected to the first driving shaft(24) by the first belt(26). The first driving shaft is rotated by the spindle motor and connected to the third driving shaft(42) arranged at the lower portion of the first and second driving shafts through the second belt(40). The third driving shaft is connected to left and right traverse driving shafts(48a,48b) by gears(44,46a,46b). Traverse driving cams(50a,50b) are installed at the left and right traverse driving shafts.
