A method for producing gold particles is provided to produce micron-size gold particles under a mild condition in a single step, and to increase greatly sensitivity of Raman spectroscopic analysis in case of being adjacent to an analyzed material when Raman spectroscopic analysis is performed. A method for producing gold particles cross-linked with ortho-phenylenediamine polymer includes a step of mixing HAuCl4 with an ortho-phenylenediamine solution under stirring. A molar ratio of Au to ortho-phenylenediamine is in the range of 1:0.3-5. The gold particles have a particle size of 1-5micron. The polymer is selected from the group consisting of dimer, trimer, tetramer, and pentamer of ortho-phenylenediamine.
