SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA/ENVIRONMENT USING POWER-TRANSMISSION TOWERS

A system for monitoring meteorology and environment with power-transmission towers is provided to offer meteorological/environmental information to a user in real-time by installing a local monitor to the power-transmission towers and receiving measured meteorological/environmental data from each local monitor. A plurality of local monitors(20_1-20_N) are installed to the power-transmission towers(10_1-10_N), and periodically transmit the collected meteorological/environmental data to a meteorology/environment monitoring server(40). If the collected meteorological/environmental data is determined as a situation requiring emergency notification, the local monitor promptly transmits the collected meteorological/environmental data to the monitoring server. If the meteorological/environmental data is urgently notified from the local monitor, the monitoring server promptly notifies the corresponding users(120_1-120_N) of the received meteorological/environmental data. The local monitor includes a meteorological detector, an environmental detector, a camera, a controller, and a solar cell.
