FIELD: lightning surge protection of various structures and pieces of equipment.;SUBSTANCE: proposed device has insulation body 1 made of solid insulating materials, two main electrodes 2, 3 mechanically coupled with insulation body 1, and intermediate electrodes 5 disposed on insulation body between main electrodes and relatively offset at least on longitudinal axis of insulation body. Preferable design alternate of device has each intermediate electrode 5 made in the form of ring and is provided with pair of projections disposed on opposite butt-end sides of ring and spaced at least 90 deg. apart over their circumference. Insulation body and additional electrode can be made in the form of shielding insulation layer section and wire section, respectively, disposed between main electrodes. First main electrode in this design alternate is made in the form of piercing clamp installed on shielding insulation layer and second main electrode is grounded either directly or through spark gap.;EFFECT: enhanced reliability and simplified mechanical design of lightning surge protective gear.;25 cl, 12 dwg
