Production of a ceramic slip comprises mixing a ceramic powder having an average particle diameter of 0.01-1 Microm with a dispersing solvent; grinding the ceramic powder using a dispersing medium such as balls or pearls to obtain a mixed or ground slip; and dispersing the ground slip under a high pressure of 100 kg/cm2 or more to form a dispersed slip. Independent claims are also included for alternative methods for producing a ceramic slip. Preferred Features: The mixing and grinding steps can be carried out with the addition of a binder.
