Deodorant or antiperspirant stick in the form of an oil in water dispersion, comprises: at least one lipid or wax component (a); at least a non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifying agent (b); at least a non-ionic water-in-oil emulsifying agent (c); at least an oil (d) that is in the liquid state at 20[deg]C; at least a water-soluble multivalent 2-9C-alkanol with 2-6 hydroxyl groups; ethanol and/or isopropanol; and at least a deodorant/an antiperspirant active substance (d). Deodorant or antiperspirant stick in the form of an oil in water dispersion, comprises: at least one lipid or wax component (a) with a melting point greater than 50[deg]C, which cannot be assigned to the components (b) or (c); at least a non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifying agent (b) with a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value of more than 7 with an oil-in-water emulsifying agent mixture or with an average HLB value of 10-19; at least a non-ionic water-in-oil emulsifying agent (c) with a HLB value greater than 1.0 and = 7.0, which can form liquid crystalline structures with water alone or with water in the presence of a hydrophilic emulsifying agent, as consistency enhancers and/or water binders; at least an oil (d) that is in the liquid state at 20[deg]C, which does not represent an odoriferous substance component and an ethereal oil, where the (average) solubility parameter of the total contained oils deviates from the (average) solubility parameter of the water-in-oil emulsifying agent(s) by a maximum value of - 0.7 (cal/cm3 )0.5 and/or + 0.7 (cal/cm3)0.5 in the presence of linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms and by a maximum value of - 0.7 (cal/cm3 ) 0.5 and/or + 0.7 ( cal/cm3 )0.5 in the presence of water-in-oil emulsifying agents, which are different from linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms and in absence of linear saturated fatty alcohols with a chain length of at least 8 carbon atoms; at least a water-soluble multivalent C2-C9-alkanol with 2-6 hydroxyl groups and/or at least a water-soluble polyethylene glycol with (d) 3-20 ethyl oxide units, 5-50 wt.% water, related to the total composition; ethanol and/or isopropanol (1-15 wt.%) related to the total composition; at least a deodorant or an antiperspirant active substance (d); a penetration force value of 150-800 gram force (g-force) with a penetration depth of 5000 mm and an electrical resistance of maximally 300 omega (Kilo ohms). (a) is present in an amount of 4-20 wt.%, preferably 8-15 wt %, related to the total composition. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic, non-therapeutic procedure for decreasing body smell, comprising applying a cosmetic deodorant and/or antiperspirant composition on the skin, preferably on the skin of the arm-pits; and (2) a procedure for the production of a deodorant or an antiperspirant stick comprising heating the wax and oil components, the oil-in-water and/or the water-in-oil-emulsifying agent to 90-95[deg]C and melted; subsequently heating water up to 90-95[deg]C with the water-soluble active substances and further ingredients are added under strong agitation; optionally further adding ingredients; cooling the mixture to a suitable filling temperature; filling the mixture in suitable dispenser molds and solidified by static cooling (without further agitating).
