The method involves analyzing a driver behavior and recognizing a driver request. The driver request is compared with an optimal driving behavior and the driver is informed by the comparison of the driver request with the driving behavior. The driver request and the optimal driving behavior are vectorially displayed in a map. The distance between the points of the driver request and the optimal driving behavior is calculated as stimulation parameter for the driver, where the driver is differently stimulated depending on the optimal driving behavior. An independent claim is also included for a device for a method of improving the safety of a person guided vehicle.
