Process for production of fuel cell stack electrode plates with integrated seals and protective layers of liquid silicone rubber. Preprepared bipolar plates (anode or cathode plates) are made from graphite compounds in a second injection mold from which the liquid silicone rubber is injected. The prepared electrode plates and seals are assembled with the membrane arrangement (MEA) along with other components, e.g. bolts and strips. Sensor elements, e.g. for monitoring temperature and pressure are integrated into the seals.
