Magnetic resonance imaging arrangement, has phantom with main chamber limited by sub chamber so that gas bubble fully enters into sub chamber due to its buoyancy brought about by change of spatial orientation of phantom in gravitation field
The arrangement has a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) phantom with a chamber (1) arranged in a housing (2). The chamber has a main chamber (4) limited by its sub chamber (5), such that the a gas bubble (3) fully enters into the sub chamber due to its buoyancy brought about by the change of the spatial orientation of the MRI phantom in gravitation field. The gas bubble remains in the sub chamber in a in a measurable localized position of the phantom due to its buoyancy. The housing is manufactured from the plastic such as polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-phantom for application in a MRI arrangement (2) a method for determination of the homogeneity of the magnetic field and/or the high-frequency field and/or the linearity and/or the intensity and/or the scaling of the gradient fields in examination volume of MRI arrangement using the MRI-phantom.
