Non-convex polygon`s presentability simplifying method for use in navigation system, involves replacing determined partial polygons if combined polygon is convex, removing dividing line from set and repeating steps until set is empty

The method involves selecting a dividing line from a dividing line set and determining partial polygons (TP1 -TP4) that have edges (8-17) matching with the selected dividing line. The determined polygons are combined to a combined polygon and the convexity of the combined polygon is determined. The combined polygon is divided into the partial polygons if the combined polygon is non-convex. The partial polygons are replaced by the combined polygon if the combined polygon is convex. The dividing line is removed from the dividing line set and the steps are repeated until the set is empty. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for execution of a method of simplification of presentability of a non-convex polygon (2) a navigation system with a display device.
