Hydraulic vehicle brake system (50) has a check valve (52,54), which prevents back flowing of hydraulic fluid. The check valve is arranged in the line (36,38,44) in the direction of flow of the hydraulic fluid behind the exhaust valve (40,42). An INDEPEDNDENT CLAIM is also included for modular valve arrangement of a hydraulic vehicle brake system.
