New design of vehicle front, comprises impact absorbing and reinforcing layers in space before occupied by reinforcing structure

The front (1) of an up-to-date vehicle has also to be constructed in order to protect a pedestrian or cyclist in case of a collision. The new design of a front area (1) is fitted with an upper layer of parallel positioned ribs (5) positioned directly behind the radiator grille (7) in a space (12) before occupied by a reinforcing structure. Another layer (6) not as high as the upper ribs (5) and serving as a reinforcing layer is located underneath and designed in the shape of diagonally positioned more rigid ribs. An independent claim is given for a car equipped with the construction.
