The system has a steering controller impressing a steering moment on a steering of a vehicle (8) in case of deviation of movement path of the vehicle from a target movement path. A steering characteristics of the system is modified in case of a cornering of the vehicle in such a manner that a smaller steering force is exerted on the steering with the deviation of the actual movement path of the vehicle from the target movement path in a direction of a curve inner side than with a corresponding deviation in a direction of a curve outer side.
