The circuit has a control device (ECU) arranged centrally and provided with a processor and a micro controller. The control device is connected over input lines with air pressure sensors (PPSR, PPSL), which are fit in vehicle doors. The control device receives air pressure values as electrical signals over the input lines. The sensors are provided with energy via the input and/or signal lines to maintain the operation of the sensors, where reaction of one of the sensors in one of the vehicle doors or in a side part of a vehicle (Fz) is measured with closing the vehicle door. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring an air pressure sensor.
