The system has a heat generator (1) e.g. heat pump, a heat consumer (2) e.g. radiator, and a heat accumulator (3) e.g. boiler, connected on below the other by supply (8, 9) and return pipe lines (7, 10, 11) for the circulation of thermal medium. The return pipe lines connect the heat generator, heat consumer and the accumulator in a common mixing chamber (4). A thermal and volume flow mixing and distribution of thermal medium between the return pipelines takes place in the mixing chamber.
