The lamp has an illuminating body (11) comprising a base plate and a transparent dome (13). A holder is formed from two flat sheets (14, 15), where the plate is fastened to one sheet and the other sheet is connected with a part e.g. outer longitudinal chassis beam, of a vehicle chassis. The sheets are connected with one another by a joint (17) that is fixed in a desired position. A light emitting diode or a bulb is used as a lighting unit.
