The watch has a switching device (4) that exchanges a chess-symbol-combination by associated figures. Chess symbol in Arabic figures is converted based on base-coding such that all times of 1 to 59 required for time indication are assigned to the chess-symbol-combination. Notional addition of coded values results the associated figures in such a manner that the chess symbol combination accesses a time pulse and is copied on LCD-fields.
