The drinks vessel (1), has a rim (2) designed to be sealed using a crown cap (3) of matching size. Its rim bead (8) corresponds with the cap. Optionally, the upper edge has an external thread designed to match an internal thread of a crown cap forming a screw closure. A variant screw-closure cap based on these principles is also described. The drinking vessel is delivered filled and sealed by the drinks manufacturer.
