The handtool (1) has an adjusting device for performing stepless adjustment of releasing torque, where the adjusting device includes a handgrip (2), ring (4) and vernier scale (5). A locking device is provided with engaging areas, which are coupled with the adjusting device, where the locking device comprises a shaft (6), recess, spring loaded cylinder and leaf spring. The locking device is formed to engage during changing of the adjustment of the adjusting device during obtaining of the engaging areas.
