The squeegee has an elongated section (5) extending through a thin lip (6) whose opposite end (13) is in contact with a glass surface to be scavenged. The lip has side walls (14, 15) forming, with the surface, an angle which reverses along the scavenging direction of the squeegee. The end (13) has a covering unit with a superposition of individual flexible layers (17-19), having visual indicators (20), mutually stuck and piled against the walls. Each layer tears successively from outside towards the interior after wear to strip the following layer placed below.
