The device (1) has dials (2), each carrying customized inscriptions and/or patterns (3) relative to an operation of a motor vehicle. A movable indexing unit (4) is associated to one of the dials to cooperate with the dial so as to indicate one of the inscriptions. One dial is detachably housed in the device such that the dial is withdrawn from the device and replaced by another dial.
