Fragmented gel obtained by fragmentation of a non-fragmented gel comprises an oily phase and a structuring polymer a polymer structuring the oily phase via physical interactions only. The gel fragmentation is carried out in the form of non-spherical particles having a size of D[4,3] i.e. higher than 15 mu m. The fragmented gel has a hardness of 1.25-100 times lower than the hardness of non-fragmented gel and/or an elastic module of 2-40 times weaker than that of non-fragmented gel. Independent claims are included for: (1) an aqueous dispersion comprising the fragmented gel and a dispersing agent; and (2) a cosmetic composition comprising the aqueous dispersion.
