The mute has a part (4a) with a rigid cylindrical support (5) connecting active elements (6, 7) made of an elastically deformable flexible material. The elements (6, 7) are respectively complementary to the shape of a mouthpiece (1) and a crook (2) of a saxophone. A part (4b) has a rigid cylindrical support (8) receiving a conical active element (9) that is made of the material and embedded inside the crook. A third part has a third rigid cylindrical support connecting a set of flexible active elements that are complementary to the shape of a bell of the saxophone and placed inside the bell.
