The structure has a monolithic framework (20), constructed by smelting or welding, covered with mechanically assembled covering panels (40) made of composite material. Reinforcement fittings (30) are mechanically secured to the jet engine and/or wings fastening points (26). The fittings are added to the framework in order to double the points. The framework defines ribs (22) and corner supports (24). An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a box type aircraft engine mounting structure.
