The sub-bonnet (6) has cavities (22) for dampening an impact against a bonnet, where one of the cavities is provided with holes (24). A unit (12) admits air in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle and includes a bonnet scoop (14) and a conduit (16) drawing the air of the bonnet in the passenger compartment. A radiator tank (18) is provided between the bonnet scoop and the conduit at the right of the bonnet scoop for condensing water, contained in the air, in the form of vapor before penetration of dry air inside the conduit. An independent claim is also included for a method of fabricating a sub-bonnet for a bonnet of a motor vehicle.
