In a device for selective transfer of articles with (a) an ejection wheel (8) turning around an axis (10) and provided with holding arms, each having an article gripping peripheral pincer (7) and a cam follower, and (b) a rotational track around which the cam follower revolves, the track has fixed section(s) and retractable section(s) and at least one holding arm follows a different track dependent on whether the retractable section is in place. An independent claim is included for a machine for blow molding containers, which includes the transfer device.
