The plant has a solar collector (10) coupled to an atmospheric sensor (11) and a heat pump (20). A circulator (27) sets the solar collector with respect to a medium e.g. hot water tank, to be heated, where the circulation of liquid e.g. water, is not carried out in the atmospheric sensor when the solar radiation is sufficient. The circulation of the liquid is carried out by an intermediate of the heat pump when the solar radiation is insufficient.
