The articulation has front and rear sliding elements (10, 11) parallely displaced at an axle of a pedal for permitting the orientation of feet of a cyclist along a vertical axis. A movable support has ends (5, 6) at a spherical surface permitting a lateral inclination of the feet, and the elements are integrated either with a shoe (3) or with the pedal, where the support is fixed under the shoe or on the body of the pedal. The front sliding element has a cylindrical cavity closed at an end, where the cavity receives one of the ends of the support.
