The carriage has a fixed support (20) and a lining (30) for supporting front and rear of a cutter bar, respectively. Extension supports (60) are mounted pivoting along vertical axes (C, D) at ends of pivoting arms (40) and adjustable in inclination by a screw adjustment system. The arms pivot on a carrier frame (1) along a horizontal axis and vertical axes (A, B) such that the arms form, with the frame and an extension placed on the supports (60), a quadrilateral defined by the axes (A - D) and deformed for displacing the supports (60) and the extension that is placed on the supports (60).
