PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which controls composition of a negative electrode active material when the negative electrode active material is formed on a current collector and has characteristics with smaller variations. PSOLUTION: A sum total thickness of the current collector 11 and an active material layer is measured in an inspection method for a negative electrode of a battery. Then, a total resistivity of the current collector 11 and the active material layer are measured in order to presume the composition of the active material layer. In the inspection method for a negative electrode of a battery, it can be determined whether the composition of the active material layer is appropriate on the basis of the data.
