PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terahertz electromagnetic wave producing device capable of producing a terahertz electromagnetic wave variable in frequency by a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: In the terahertz electromagnetic wave producing system 1, the laser beam L oscillated by a laser resonator, which is constituted of the second surface 112 of a semiconductive emission element 11 and a mirror 12, is collimated by a lens 14 to be condensed by a lens 15 and the condensed beam is thrown on the gap of a pair of the electrodes of a photoconductive antenna element 16. The terahertz electromagnetic wave is produced from the photoconductive antenna element 16 on which the laser beam L is thrown. The length of the resonator is altered by parallely moving the mirror 12 by a moving stage 13. The frequencny of the terahertz electromagnetic wave produced from the photoconductive antenna element 16 is continuously changed corresponding to the length of the resonator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
