PORTABLE TELEVISION TERMINAL DEVICE AND TIME-SHIFT REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable television terminal device that enables a viewer to immediately know that the reception sensitivity of television broadcast becomes poor even if the reception sensitivity becomes poor during time-shift reproduction.;SOLUTION: The time-shift reproduction is performed by passing a past motion picture signal having been recorded in a storage device 109 to a DEMUX 103 while a motion picture signal outputted from a tuner 102 receiving the television broadcast is recorded in the storage device 109 through a time-shift unit 110 and if the reception sensitivity of the tuner 102 becomes poor during the time-shift reproduction, a real-time picture based upon the motion picture signal received by the tuner 102 is displayed so as to overlap with the time-shift reproduced picture. When the reception sensitivity of the tuner 102 becomes favorable, the display of the picture overlapped with the time-shift reproduced picture is stopped and the reproduction of the time-shift picture which is temporarily stopped is started.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
