PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which cadaverine and/or cadaverine salt can rapidly and efficiently be produced, while suppressing the amount of bacterial cells used during a reaction to be within a prescribed range.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the cadaverine and/or the cadaverine salt comprises reacting lysine and/or a lysine salt with a decarboxylase and carrying out a decarboxylation reaction. The ratio of the weight, in terms of dried bacterial cells of the bacterial cells used for the reaction to the total weight of the lysine used for the reaction is ≤0.002 and the aeration rate during the reaction is ≤0.3 vvm (volume per volume per minute).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
