PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave electrodeless lamp having high luminous efficiency and high luminance. PSOLUTION: The microwave electrodeless lamp 10 emits light by applying microwaves to an emissive substance. The microwave electrodeless lamp 10 comprises: a transparent vessel formed of a nonconductive material, having an inflation section 20 having a sealing space 21 sealed with the emissive substance inside and a pair of capillaries 22, 23 connected opposite to the inflation section 20; internal conductors 31, 32 sealed into each of the capillaries 22, 23; and coils 41, 42 as external conductors roughly wound in a range in the longitudinal direction of the internal conductors 31, 32 at the outer periphery of the capillaries 22, 23.
