PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an anti-weathering steel which has an improved performance, particularly, improved long-period rust stabilization properties, by using such an element and a compound as not to cause an increase in cost, instead of employing a conventional method of improving the performance by adding a trace amount of elements.;SOLUTION: The anti-weathering steel having improved rust stabilization properties comprises 0.03% to 0.18% C, 0.1% to 0.65% Si, 0.2% to 1.4% Mn, 0.03% or less P, 0.02% or less S, 0.3% to 2% Cu, 0.2% to 6% Ni, 0.002% to 0.01% N, 0.01% to 0.5% Al, 0.005% or less O and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities, and simultaneously includes aluminum nitride particles with major axes of 0.001 to 1 μm in an amount of 5 to 50 mass ppm.
