SINTERED MATERIAL PELLET DRYING INSTALLATION AND SINTERED MATERIAL PELLET DRYING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy to be used by reducing the amount of hot air to be required for drying sintered material pellets.;SOLUTION: This drying installation is provided for drying the sintered material pellets manufactured by pelletizing sintered materials mainly containing fine powder, and comprises a fluidized bed dryer 30 for drying the sintered material pellets, and a packed bed dryer 40 for drying at least part of the sintered material pellets after dried by the fluidized bed dryer 30. When drying the sintered material pellets up to water content to obtain sufficient strength, the fluidized bed dryer 30 adequate for constant-rate drying in the viewpoint of energy efficiency performs primary drying and then the packed bed dryer 40 adequate for decreasing drying performs secondary drying.
