PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and inexpensively making a culture test with sterilization confirmation.;SOLUTION: A vessel for an anaerobic bacteria culture kit is provided, being a closed vessel 10 having an openable outer port 20 and a gas injection port sealed up with an elastic material. This vessel also has an intermediate chamber 40 extending via the openable outer port 20 into the closed vessel, wherein the intermediate chamber 40 has an openable inner port 50 communicating with the inside of the closed vessel and there is a space 11 for holding a medium 70 in the closed vessel. The anaerobic bacteria culture kit is provided, comprising this vessel, the medium contained in the space 11 and an oxygen scavenger 41 contained in the intermediate chamber 40. A method for discriminating the growth of anaerobic bacteria is also provided, comprising containing a test specimen-carrying member in the anaerobic bacteria culture kit with the inner port closed, removing the oxygen in the intermediate chamber 40 by the oxygen scavenger 41, injecting an anaerobic gas via the gas injection port 30 into the closed vessel, culturing the anaerobic bacteria for a predetermined period of time, and, based on the medium's color tone change, discriminating whether the test specimen contain the anaerobic bacteria or not.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
