PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local surface plasmon excitation type ultrathin film light emitting sensor capable of responding quickly to a change of an oxygen concentration, and capable of visualizing sufficiently a surface oxygen concentration, even in 10 nm or less of thickness.;SOLUTION: This sensor is formed by combining a functional polymer ultrathin film with a light emitting functional molecule introduced into a polymer ultrathin film, and a metal nano-particle. A local surface plasmon is generated in the vicinity of the metal nano-particle, by incidence of an excitation light, and the excitation efficiency of the light emitting functional molecule is uniformly enhanced within a two-dimensional plane, by intensifying an electric field with localization of the light. A copolymer of platinum porphyrin complex and N-dodecyl acryl amide, having acryloyl group or metha-acroyl group in terminals thereof, is synthesized by radical polymerization to form the ultrathin film having 1.7 nm of thickness.
