NOVEL SUCCINIMIDE COMPOUND, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, LUBRICATING OIL ADDITIVE CONTAINING THE SAME, AND LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR DIESEL ENGINE INCORPORATED WITH THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type of a succinimide compound, a method for producing the same, a lubricating oil additive containing the same, and a lubricating oil composition for a diesel engine which is excellent in preventing corrosion and abrasion caused by SOSBx/SB. PSOLUTION: The succinimide compound is a product of an acid compound and a polyamine, and has in an IR spectrum one absorption peak ( peak) at 1,64010 cmSP-1/SPand another absorption peak ( peak) at 1,70010 cmSP-1/SP, wherein the peak and the peak have an intensity ratio ( peak intensity/ peak intensity) of 0.12 or more. The method produces the succinimide compound, and the lubricating oil additive contains the compound. The lubricating oil composition for a diesel engine is a lubricating base oil which is incorporated with (A) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a perbasic alkaline earth metal sulfonate, phenate, and salicylate, and (B) the above succinimide compound.
