SWAY EVALUATION METHOD USING ACCELEROMETER, SWAY EVALUATION PROGRAM AND PORTABLE TYPE SIMPLE SWAY METER

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method capable of evaluating the swaying state of a subject using an accelerometer. PSOLUTION: This portable type simple sway meter 1 attached around the waist of a subject 10 in a stationary standing posture is so formed that a measurement value reading means 21 reads a measurement value (xi) of a front/rear-directional acceleration and a measurement value (yi) of a left/right-directional acceleration of the subject 10 from a built-in accelerometer 12 over a prescribed measurement time at a prescribed sampling period. A horizontal-plane acceleration calculation means 22 calculates an acceleration on a horizontal plane Δi(=√(xiSP2/SP+yiSP2/SP)). A horizontal-plane acceleration cumulative value calculation means 23 calculates a horizontal-plane acceleration cumulative value ΣΔi obtained by adding a calculation value. The horizontal-plane acceleration cumulative value shows a significant correlation to an outer circumferential area including the total track length of a center-of-gravity sway track and the center-of-gravity sway track measured by a conventional center-of-gravity sway meter, so as to be adopted as the measured value or the evaluation value of the sway.
