METHOD FOR EVALUATING WELDING DEFORMATION, AND RESIDUAL STRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an empirical method for evaluating welding deformations and residual stresses, which is simple and non-destructive, and can be applied to FEM analysis.;SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a welded structure comprises a step of acquiring images of marking processed surfaces of a welding material, in welding states different from each other; a step of comparing the images acquired in respective welding states and measuring a displacement difference of the welding material; a step of obtaining intrinsic distortions by conducting reverse analys of the displacement difference; and a step of calculating the deformation differences and residual stress differences in both welding states, based on the intrinsic distortions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
