PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which dispenses with remodeling of an existing biological treatment tank carrying out waste water treatment by activated sludge since it is hardly broken if being returned to the biological treatment tank by a pump and also enables a particular enhancement of treatment efficiency since a particle size can be reduced. PSOLUTION: A comprehensive immobilization support 12 satisfies conditions where (A) a deformation ratio represented by equation (HSB0/SB-HSB1/SB)/HSB0/SBis 70% or higher with a support thickness of HSB0/SBbefore compression and a support thickness of HSB1/SBduring breakage by compression, and (B) the particle size is in the range of 0.1 to 1.5 mm. A method comprises introducing this comprehensive immobilization support 12 into the biological treatment tank 14 without a screen and returning the comprehensive immobilization support 12 flown out into a solid-liquid separation tank 16 accompanying treated water to the biological treatment tank 14 by transfer of the pump 20.
