PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heart rate/respiratory rate measuring device capable of precisely measuring a heart rate or a respiratory rate of a human body with high sensitivity in an unrestrained manner.;SOLUTION: This heart rate/respiratory rate measuring device comprises a sheet-like capacitance-type pressure sensor 2 to be pressed by a human body, and a measuring circuit for measuring a heart rate and/or respiratory rate according to the output from the sensor 2. The capacitance-type pressure sensor 2 is configured of a pair of conductive stretchable clothes 22, 23 provided on both faces of a sheet-like dielectric body 21 which is elastically and omnidirectionally deformable. The measuring circuit is provided with a resonance circuit having the capacitance-type pressure sensor 2 as an oscillation capacitor, and an arithmetic processing circuit for detecting a variation in the oscillation frequency of the resonance circuit and for calculating the heart rate and/or respiratory rate on the basis of frequency components of signals of the heart rate and/or respiratory rate included in the variation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
