PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging a replacement time of a surge protection apparatus judging a replacement time of a surge protection apparatus surely by a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: In judging the replacement time of a surge protection apparatus suppressing a surge, a surge current flowing in the surge protection apparatus is judged by using a surge judging parameter Ps and a surge judging parameter threshold Psc (step S102). Then, the number of times the surge current flows in the surge protection apparatus is counted (step S103). Subsequently, the number of times the surge current has flowed, namely a surge occurrence number N, and a replacement time judging threshold Nc are compared (step S104).
