PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing an artificial bone to be functioned as the bone of a living body itself in an early stage without any problem in strength, and to providethe artificial bone. PSOLUTION: The method includes at least: a process (S1) for obtaining image data concerning the bone from the living body; a process (S2) for storing image data obtained in the preceding process in a storage part; a process (S3) for generating work data for working a member to be worked from the image data stored in the storage part, substance characteristic data of the member to be worked, and reference data of the bone to be recreated; processes (S4, 5, 6) for selecting the member to be worked having a strength corresponding to the work data, and an optimum porosity for regenerating the bone; and a process (S7) for producing the artificial bone by working the selected member to be worked in response to the work data.
